The game looks totally different in the first picture.. is the zone made with better graphics overall or does it only look like it because of the water?
Prolly the water and the fog combined makes it feel like it

Indeed, the first screenshot feels like a different game, while the remaining ones are tad of a "when WoW meets Gothic".
