Ok my friend ( one of 2 i just convinced to buy wow) instaled game and just after starting the game has this error. He cannot create char, connect, nothing. He did almost all things suggested by blizz and nothing. Also installing new driver seriously fucked his comp....
Anyway, if anyone of you had simillar problems and/or has any ideas please help.

hmm if he has tried everything.....
has he looked for any conflicts on his system device manager?
I had this problem ages ago and i had to sort it out by underclocking my cpu. So if he knows anything about using the BIOS menus/setting he should maybe look for that.
EDIT : in the BIOS menus, on my computer its called, CPU SOFT MENU, so if he looks in there he should find it. Then the computer should restart and say settings have been changed, dont take the option to restore defaults, just press F1 to carry on with booting up
