Re: Shaman > Paladin

Healingwise, no fucking way.

If I were to dps down a paladin, he'll just stun me and heal himself. If I were to get him down abit more again, he'll throw his other stun and heal again. In the mean time I'm at about 25% hp, paladin activates seal of command, judge it and I'm pretty much dead. How much time did I get to heal? none because all my lesser heals were interupted with incredible burst damage.
Maybe if I got natures swiftness I would last longer but that would turn out for the paladin to use 3 or possibly even 4 stuns on me and the outcome would be the same.
Even if I took natures swiftness, I don't think it would be possible to get DW from the enhancement tree due to lack of points and DW is practically unquestionable the best thing that happened to a shaman, especially vs plate.

Maybe elemental shamans could do the trick but any good paladin would stun for heal and considering that caster hybrids are known to sometime cross dress, I don't think it would make a difference unless the shaman uses natures swiftness and the crit talent to throw a 2.7k crit after a 1.2k hit lightning bolt. If the paladin isn't dead then the shaman has ran out of chances.

My conclusion absofuckinglutely not.

Re: Shaman > Paladin

yeah seems like our chances are limited to lucky crits and procs . only way to get the pally is to surprise him with wf crits imo , otherwise like Baloth said .

Not yet atleast. It seems blizzard is giving the "Stoneclaw Totem" a stun chance making it a bit more usefull for PvP however that 3% I believe it is is probably not going to be very effective.

Re: Shaman > Paladin

Paladin > Shaman when it comes to healing and the actual 1vs1 duel of a Paladin vs a Shaman. (Hearing from shamans at lvl 70 that has changed, and shamans actually beat paladins one vs one now.)

Shaman > Paladin for everything else, including fun smile

Try leveling it all the way to 60 and then 70 and see if you still feel the same, I can pretty much assure you you had less problems on that road on your paladin.

So basically, you're saying paladins beats shaman in every aspect, yet still you chose to reroll shaman, not paladin? I'm confused.

I enjoyed playing both classes, just the possibility of doing REAL damage somehow makes me smile more.

True, allthough "REAL" dmg comes from Rogues, Warlocks and Mages smile

Re: Shaman > Paladin

I can`t beat a paladin (solo).
The only time I`m able to beat them, they use a shield, heal up, and still kill me.

shamans need a 100% snare or a stun imo. they are just too easy to kill as a rogue atleast

With the exception of pve, where they are pretty equal (I think).
