Hybrid gives you all special druid treats - roots, bleed effects, treants, charge etc
You have fair chances against all classes, in distance and close combat
You can easly adapt to environment

You wont one hit with star/moonfire, 4k FB, and so on but i guess shapeshifting can compensate that
There used to be problem with hybrid gear, combining spell damage and feral stats now its better.
It seems its only for pvp but....
The other day in Karazhan we talked with Vohn, about how it will be good to have hybrids in raids, and i mean hybrid spec not just class. there will come fights where we would use more healing , dps, ranged dps to kill a boss. something like with Maiden where to many melee is bad, and its good to have casters instead. In this example druids suit perfectly. So i think it would be worth considering having some palas, druids, shammys going, resto/feral, balance/feral, caster, healing etc...

^^ I can be an elemental / resto as I used to be
but tbh atleast a shaman has to be heavy resto to be of much use in raid environment for healing. you lucky druids with your hots etc
