Weird computer problem

There is something weird with my computer.

Basicly when i turn camera quickly in games (wow, but not only) im loosing FPS for a moment and after 1-2 second it geting back to normal.

Configuration:
ASUS STRIKER EXTREME nF680i
Core 2 Duo 2,4
2X2GB GEIL 800MHz CL5 DDR2 GAMING SERIES
Asus 8800GT 512MB 256BIT
2x HDD 750GB (one 16mb cache, other 32mb cache)

System - Vista Ultimate 64 Bit.

Im playing in full details 1680x1050 Wide.
Normaly it is 40-60 fps, whan im turning camera going to 10-0 for 1-2 seconds.

Any idea what can this be? Maby ram?

Re: Weird computer problem

I'd say its GFX problem. Try new beta forceware drivers or omega drivers. I just installed new Omega drivers and they work imba!

Re: Weird computer problem

@ Tanduli - didnt done anything yet - but will try to do it maby tonight. Any suggestion what soft should i use?
@ Namino - well im not so shure tbh - first of all i got newest beta drivers, and the second thing is that for example in Test Drive Unlimited - i dont have any problems in the jungle - but in the city - it happens once in a while. So to test that - i decreased resolution too 640x480 wink and still once in a while got FPS going to 0 for a second.

But Omega drivers... i can try that.

Re: Weird computer problem

Thats may be a problem, but im trying to reduce it to maximum 20-30GB in monthly basis wink

One more addiction to the topic - i was using riva soft to overclock my GFX a bit - and there is chart that shows temperatures fps etc.

So i tested it in Gears Of War - DX10 full Details, 1680x1050 etc. and all the time i had 53-70 FPS but once per two minutes it goes down to 5-10 for a second or two.

Isnt it misterious? ;O

Re: Weird computer problem

slightly OT or even ninja'ing the thread.

I was told recently that installing Vista on a computer with less than 4GB RAM is a bad idea. Is that true? How so?

Well, iv instaled nevest omega drivers on my vista system, few weeks ago and it doesnt helped.

but in xp i got still old version of drivers.

I can jump betweens systems, couse i have instaled one on each hdd, with menu to choose system after start.

But to be honest, problem with Vista may be becouse it is cracked (and may contain some extra shit in code).

Got 1GB on my laptop and running vista good. 2GB is preferable though.

2gb ram here (667 speed) and its running very fine (all my problems this far have risen from my sucky videocard). But I do have to say that Vista takes a full GB of RAM just to run, so 1GB might not be that good an idea.
