So what talents now?

Share your talents for this new patch.

I tried out Afliction and destruction 41/0/10 and i am loving these dots.
Soloing lvl 53-55 elite dragons in burning steps with no sweat at all, and as Nunb said, dark pact is very good now.

although im very curious as to what the demonology tree has to offer, speacially the felguard smile

Re: So what talents now?

i would seriously suggest you go for imp shadow bolt instead of cataclism in the destro tree, imho its waaaaayyy better and benefits other shadow-bolters around smile

Re: So what talents now?

yep indeed, helth funnel prolly should go and put in master summoner or even improved Imp or Succubus, i would go that way.

could also consider imp voidwalker for the 60-70 grind (extra agro grabing) but im not really fond of that talent since  i tried it before and wasnt too amazed by it.

Too bad undead rogues dont suffer the same way on fear, but since our dots are that powerfull im just thinking :

insta dots - death coil- casting dot (rogue comes back) - sacrifice voidwalker shield - dot some more - try a fear - undead rogue hopefully dead by now else shadow bolt

Re: So what talents now?

insta dots - death coil- casting dot (rogue comes back) <--- rogue will most likely be dead at that point, until we get cloak of shadows at lvl 66.

Re: So what talents now?

I tried all 3 trees on the PTR and they're all pretty fun to play with. Demonology gives alot of spelldmg so nice 1k+ SB hits and ofc the imba Felguard.. though everyone's running around with it atm hehe.
Destruction is nice becuase of very high crits with SB/Conflag, but I think it'll be better once you get higher spell ranks + the new fire spell.
I'm 41/0/10 as well atm (glad to see you like it too Sunday smile) never thought Affliction was this good, but dot's eat up everything in pvp. I'm doing battlegrounds with Pustbunker/Flunky healbotting me and it's incredibly imba.. I can just run around a bit throwing ~4 dot's on everything and I never die untill my healer runs out of mana <3
DoT's + drain life eat up warrior before fear runs out at times, or just without fear as you drain-tank them.

I'd also really like to try doing a raid with these new talents, I bet some encounters will be quite easier with (almost?) every class having gotten a nice buff. And with Dark Pact it's almost impossible to run out of mana without having to rely on heals smile

Re: So what talents now?

the worrying thing is resillience wont even effect dots either, so they will become better :S

Re: So what talents now?

thing about raiding affliction you dont have any aggro reducing abilities ..., i suppose you dont have ruin though

Improved drain soul reduces afliction aggro by 10% now if you spec 2 points in it.
Not sure if you get this agro reduction as the drain soul debuff or if its a premanent effect. Think its permanent since agro reduction for a few secs after a kill doesnt make much sense.

But yeah, shadow bolt is unleashed agro again without little impy out and the demonologist buff.

And no no ruin unfortunately.

But then again, from the looks of the damage done by dots and with the new debuff limit going up, afliction locks can mainly dot with everything they got and wait for the nightfall proc to throw a shadowbolt while keeping dots alive.

Gota try it one of these days
