Elemental raid spec.

Mojo, why did you take 4% cheaper totems over 5% crit? big_smile

Re: Specs!

not sure smile - didnt really think about it giving crit for spells when it was in the melee tree
Thats exactly why i want some input.

Just look at the first priest spec ive posted, where there is 5 points missing and the rest is just random thrown in there tongue

@fraiser
what is wrong with doing a post where everyone can post their spec? Im sure im not the only one that has alts, and who could use some input from players who probably read more into details about their specs and options than i have smile

Re: Specs!

Your BM tree looks overall okay smile

I'd do some small modifications though. Screw Thick Hide, it's utterly useless, I would also take a few points from Endurance Training in order to get Mortal Shots from the MM tree

i like that spec smile
The reason i didnt have swift ret was because of the lack of points.
Im not to conserned with agro, since im not raiding on my pala smile

And what the hell is up with ret dps. Played around on my 80 pala on beta. ITS CRAZY!

Re: Specs!

Hey mojo,

why did you go for DS in your 'lock spec?
Wouldn't it be better to put some more points in afflic for UA. Or drop some more point in demo to give your dots a chance to crit/Death's embrace

Re: Specs!

i think most of my specs have somekind of survival / pvp touch, hence the endurance talents in my hunter spec, and the demo talents in my lock spec.

None of my chars are geared or specced for raiding, but rather grinding / pvp. (all exept mojo ofc, who will be tank speced)
This also affect what trees im choosing, like my warrior is arms, because i dont have 2 x 2handers to get a crazy fury build, or my rogues lack of weapons, which pretty much restrain me to very closed builds.

Would this be the thing you had in mind solok: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=IbxRrurukiVRcsZbxcz

yeah i think that would give you better dmg/survivabilty. then you would have with DS. since it kinda negates your talents in SL/Imp fh/DP smile

Re: Specs!

Can't say I agree much with any of these specs. The first one looks like a mix between a PvE and PvP spec. Martyrdom, Spell Warding, Blessed Recovery Blessed Resilience are all talents that would not prove very useful in raid instances. If this were to be a PvP spec you should definitely have added Improved Renew as well as Silent Resolve. Personally I still believe discipline is a more viable tree for arena, as the holy tree holds many talents that are completely PvE oriented. Besides I think you'll might have a tough time mana wise going without Meditation

The second spec is slightly more appealing, but talents such as Improved Inner Fire, Blessed Recovery and Blessed Resilience still proves very little use outside an arena.

Personally I think I'll try out this spec at first. It's a spec directed a bit more towards single-target healing, than the one I had pre-patch, but I think that's where we're headed with the upcoming CoH cooldown nerf, so might aswell get used to it. I think it can work quite well with the new Surge of Light changes anyway, so will be interesting. The only thing I'm a bit sceptical about is the loss of Mental Agility, especially considering the mana battery+mana pot nerf.

Edit: Just noticed the first spec is missing 5 talent points, so that might be a bit of a problem wink

I would personally also skip imp BoM and take pursuit of justice. It's pure fact that in many fights speed is very valuable. Like in Archimonde, that extra 15% more moving speed is just imba to while trying to avoid doomfires..

Re: Specs!

Thanks for the response qtip smile
My priest is a BG priest. Blue pvp set + some merciless epics, so im not planning to raiding with her.
The first spec i posted is indeed fucked up, and makes no sence. Im not sure what i was thinking, or why its only up to lvl 65.
But i cant imagine a holy spec without blessed resilience, nor recovery. They just seems to save my ass too much to give up on.

perhaps this would suit me better

speed wont help your dps tho.
and archi is a very specific fight, so in those cases you could just respec smile

a full prot spec would still prove more TPS, as well as overall tank viability due to you never switching out of def stance.

Speed actually helps with overall dps smile There was sometime ago long theorycrafting in elitis jerk about Pursuit of Justice and i think it was overall considered must have talent for raiding.. Anyway, warriors usually got improved BS, so you get your extra AP through it..

Pursuit of Justice

In my eyes, it's pretty much a PvP talent, especially with the chance to not get disarmed by 50%
