Re: Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 2

Played the first mission, it's cool, but not my favourite type of games. Just too much shooting and too little use of brains.

no, it just not relevant to anything I said.

Its very much related to:

on a slightly related note; buy the game instead of downloading it, you bum.

I will try the game first and if i like it, i will buy it. Its like a demo, try and buy. I dont feel like spending 50 euros to a game i will play once and then just use it as a decoration on my shelf.

Re: Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 2

On a related note - the tv advertisment of CoD:MW2 is maybe the best I've seen. Literally makes a gamer want to stop whatever he's doing and rush to the mall.

On a less related note - on my copy of CoD:MW2 box it says that the product is not to be distributed in UK. Anyone knows why? I know that recently UK had it rough on gamed being "censored" (some titel was not distributed at all, at least in theory, not sure if it was L4D, GTA or whatever). Or is it about some language version or whatever?

Are you playing it on PC zone?

Multiplayer is awesome imo (on PS3 that is), you'll like it wink

Re: Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 2

I've got a chance to play multiplayer on PC and I agree on it rocking. Lack of dedicated servers isn't that bad, have experienced some broken matches due to host problems, but most work fine without any lag smile

Re: Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 2

I'm starting to dislike the singleplayer game. Even though the story rocks, the gameplay is just too lame. Way too many enemies on the fucking roofs and bushes and wherever big_smile

Re: Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 2

Torrented it, single player was about 4 hours worth of gameplay and like Apox said it felt a bit more like Time Crisis than a FPS. It was good, not great and didn't feel as awesome as MW1 did for some reason. Baddies still seem to spawn in really random and annoying places in a way that just isn't fun, unlike say L4D2 where I get that feeling a lot less. Spec Ops was imo the most fun part of the game, although L4D is better for Co-op play and more laughs (i.e. getting eaten by zombies)

Didn't enjoy the multiplayer at all (crap matchmaking, no admins etc.), so decided to delete it (after it being installed for about 2 days) and for me it definately ain't worth 40 quids.

Migrated to Windows 7 and COD4 is now broken :< Mad props if anyone can fix this

Re: Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 2

Haha I probably will in a few years when I have (hopefully) more cash, almost made myself think a Macbook was value for money with 10% student discount! On the plus side, Windows 7 somehow made my integrated soundcard work better and made me have working 4 speakers instead of 2 and a subwoofer that works. I should probably get a PS3 or something too :p

Bad Company 2 looks like it might be promising as well.

Lamme: regarding the "UK version" afaik nothings been censored, possibly some DVD regional code or something? Our politicians like to make UK seem different to Europe whenever possible.
