Okay, im usually quite good with fixing my own computer, but this time I have a friends computer that needs fixing.
In the beginning the computer detected the hdd but didnt start up the windows (got stuck in the loading screen). Problem was that it didnt detect the dvd drive so I couldnt just install new windows. Ok, so I tried everything from trying another dvd-drive to checking jumpers & checking if ide cable is installed properly. Jumper was set to master as it should and cable was installed properly.
Now the computer doesnt detect anything anymore and doesnt even allow to enter bios anymore.. gets stuck on "entering setup".
Oh.. and I also tried removing the battery for a while and it didnt help at all.
Anyone got any ideas?

try clearing cmos
its some jumper on your mainboard , called clrctrl or something . it resets your bios completely .
it should look something like this , 3 pins 1 2 3 , and jumper being [ 1 2 ] 3 , you should change it to 1 [ 2 3 ] , boot up nothing will happen but just do it . shutdown and switch back to how it first was. If all went well it should work again
