Maybe I should've posted this earlier (and I apologize for it) but I really can't force myself to raid anymore at the moment. I simply am really tired of raiding (ICC) currently, reasons being that Heroic mode is far from appealing atm (hello, here have some more hp's to nuke and incoming dmg to heal) and the zone buff encourages it even less for me (we buff bosses in heroic mode, then buff players with the buff aswell ?!). Next to that I also grew tired of raiding with my priest in general because it is just mindlessly boring shield spam all the friggin' time. I'm not sure if I will reroll in Cataclysm, but there is a possibility because I feel like going DPS again.

I know many people disagree with the stuff above, but I am not going to start a discussion about it here. This is my opinion and it's subjective anyway.

I know it sucks but I am not going to spend my time raiding when I absolutely don't want to. I understand I get the demote and I need to get my spot back in the future but so be it. And yes in the future (Cataclysm namely) I will be back 100% again with the activity I had. Just hope certain things will change there...

I hope you can all get your 25 mounts after a while, good luck with it people and sorry again for the inconvenience this causes.

Mich

Re: Inactive

I thought about it for quite some time now already so it isn't a hasty decision or something.

I'm fully aware of the fact that it really sucks to let other raiding people here in TEO down, but atm I feel this is the right thing. I'm simply burned out and raiding without having fun is just a bad thing. One of the reasons is that I don't feel progress anymore (and that has nothing to do with performance, but rather with the zonebuff and heroic bosses that are basically 95% the same) which is one of the key motives of raiding.
Not to mention at least half of the Heroic bosses are easier than LK normal.

On the other hand I will be back 100% sure in Cataclysm and I have high hopes of it tbh. But that's kinda useless now, I know tongue But since I joined here in september I really like the people here (as I expected) and how things are being handled by the officer team, so I definetly want to raid again with all of you in Cataclysm.

Until then people and good luck in the meantime, I'll keep checking how you are doing of course wink

And thanks for the kind words smile

Re: Inactive

I kinda share your feeling Mich: eventhou holy can be considered more fun to play and gives you the freedom to do things as you feel like, I'm having motivational issues aswell. Combine this with some RL issues (work, studies, friends and relationships..) and I'm pretty close on ending up at the same solution. Not to mention I found my love for ArmaII to be equal to that I had for Operation Flashpoint, and considering going a bit more in to that world when I have the time.

Nevertheless, I think our healing crew will actually benefit for not having so many priests  and getting some trees or whatnot instead. This is my heads up for the staff: if you think you need more healers should I go inactive soon, I suggest you start looking for one (or force Lamia to do it, since she loves it so!).

Re: Inactive

We will be eagerly waiting for your return. As a dps or whatever. smile

PS. Before the easter I was "forced" to do some 10 man pugs. It was very refreshing. I know I was probably lucky with the groups, but I had more fun there than I had in our last 25 man raids. Content is important, but the guild runs somtimes do get a little stale. "Let's get this done". Pugs come without expectations. However, more often than not; Pugs tells us how lucky we are to be in a good guild smile

Re: Inactive

I know the feeling Fairmont. ICC feels very tideous at times. Good luck in the real world or whatever they call the shit going on outside WoW, and looking forward to playing with you again in cataclysm. Too bad we're losing a pro healer.
