When starting off fresh, there's a lot to learn, and youtube seems like a good way to learn and get some "inspiration".
Starcraft have become quite an e-sport over the years, and there's several good commentators around. Two of them which i've just started watching, are the youtube users "HDstarcraft" and "HuskyStarcraft", they're pro commentators and play often them selves.

For those who speak swedish, there's a pro nicked "Lalush", who commentate some of his games in swedish, pretty sweet.

Anyone got any good learning tips or links?

Nice videos. I'm more or less starting off fresh myself. Last time I played Starcraft was 7 years ago. Really can't wait to start up again. We should definitely start doing some multiplayer games inside the guild once it hits the shelves.

I must confess, ive never tired it, and ive never watched a movie of it. Is it like command a conquer? Or more like red alert?

I'd say compared to those two, the economy in Starcraft works somewhat differently, each race have a builder unit, that's also used as gatherer. Normal multiplayer in Starcraft also have a larger number of gatherers\builders, instead of a few harvesters. The play style is also quite distinct for each race compared to c&c, sc is more fast phased i believe.

Its like wc3 then? Only in the space, with way more units, and more macro/less micro?

Ye roughly, and no hero units in multi-player, and yes, more units with less hp in general. Seems like sc2 is slightly more fast phased then wc3. You also have unit types, biological, mechanical, massive, and some units are designed to be good against a specific type.
