Dirmor, Restoration druid. - declined

Name: Julius

Age: 18

Location: Finland

Occupation: A student

Hello everyone, my previous guild just disbanded so I'm trying my luck applying here. I've heard good stuff about this guild and your progress is impressive, and I'm looking for a mature and skilled guild to raid with. I'm not sure about your situation on restoration druids, but I guess I have nothing to lose even if I get rejected.

Character info:

Name: Dirmor

Race: Night Elf

Class: Druid

MS/OS: Restoration/Moonkin

Professions: Alchemy/Herbalism

Some history:

I've played WoW since vanilla with my druid, but there's not much to tell about that time or TBC, since I played very casually then. It was pretty much leveling up my character first as feral, then as a moonkin in TBC. However, when WotLK came out and raiding got easier, I had a chance to try it for real for the first time with my "casual" game-style, and I loved it. I respecced resto and started raiding Naxxramas. I've been resto-specced since then.

A year a go I raided Ulduar with Atrum Regina, but when summer vacation ended and our guild disbanded I just didn't have the energy to find a new stable guild and continue, so I had a 9 month break or so, and started playing again 6 weeks ago. I have all content cleared on WotLK besides some Ulduar hardmodes and some ICC hardmodes. I've cleared both clear on 25 man though. (I don't have the achievement for 25-man ICC because of the fact that I've never done Blood-Queen on normal. I've downed her heroic several times though.)

Skills as a healer and gear:

I've healed ICC-25 and 10 man hardmodes, and I have good reflexes to respond to bursts and concentration to play long periods without slacking. I never try to whore the healing meters (standing in AoE and healing myself? big_smile), and I try to heal as efficiently as possible mana-wise.

When I got to Biological Screwup and started raiding ICC-25 with them, I healed the first lockout in allmost full 226 Ulduar gear, and it wasn't a problem. I've gotten lots of upgrades since then and I believe my gearscore is somewhere above 5800 now. (I'm not sure since I don't use the addon). Here's the link:

About my gear, I'm focusing on reaching lots of haste to have viability with the Rejuvenation glyph, and I don't consider crit that essential, since nature's bounty gives good critchance to begin with (Even with rather low crit chance, I have Nature's grace up whenever spamming Nourish/RG to heal tanks or so) My neck is still from Ulduar-times, I just hadn't had any luck with the Marrowgar neck I need, but it doesn't really affect my healing that much.

With gems I usually go with socketcolors (Red=SP, Blue=SP+spirit, Yellow=SP+haste) since I still need the haste and I consider manaregen from spirit still helpful, even though I'd reach much more SP socketing pure spellpowergems. It's a matter of preference, but I find this way to be most satisfying for me.

Aside a few slots I'm quite happy with my gear. Ofcourse every slot could be upgraded from the current items but I try not to make gear the top-priority for myself.

I also have a moonkin offspec but the gear for it is not enchanted/socketed. I can rebuild it though if you need me to do that.

Talents/glyphs:

I play a 18/0/53 restoration spec, getting Celestial focus from balance tree for haste. I'm quite comfortable with that spec, but I can offcourse discuss about altering it if someone has ideas on how to make it better.

I use the Rapid Rejuvenation glyph, Wildgrowth glyph and swiftmend glyph. Rapid rejuvenation is just great, WG-glyph is extremely helpful on raidhealing and swiftmend glyph I find to be very useful, since I use swiftmend quite a lot and re-Hotting targets I've swiftmended slows the rotation.

About raiding:

I have the time and will to do hardmodes, since I think that the hardbosses have to be hard, and wiping on them to get progress is only natural. I want to make progress and I don't really care about getting gear as long as I can heal without getting behind.

I've done 6/12 heroics on ICC-25, but I've tried much more of them and I know tactics for pretty much all of them.

I also have the money to repairs/flasks/enchants and such.

Your raidtimes are fine to me, and I always let people know if I cannot attend for some reason. Still especially on summertime like now I have lots of time on my hands, so attending should not be a problem.

My computer can handle WoW allright (I'm playing on quite low settings though), and I have Vent and a working mic, + I speak english allright. My connection is quite fine, and I rarely lag a lot.

Addons:

I'm using DBM, dpsmeters, raidframes (not grid) and bartender. That's all I feel necessary but OFC I'm always ready to try new addons if you have suggestions for better gameplay.

I think that's pretty much it, feel free to ask questions about anything ofcourse. I hope the application gave you the right picture, since I'm good at making them.

Could you poke me in game today in the evening, so that we can have a little chat before a final decision is made?

You have a very nice application with a very solid raiding experience and background going on here, I'm sure next to any guild will welcome you wholeheartedly.
Good luck on your future adventures.
