Managing an iPod with software different than iTunes
As far as I know it is possible, I believe with a plug-in to WinAmp. The reason why I'm interested in this is that I can't get iTunes to work with my system, but that's a different issue.
If anyone did/is doing/knows how to do it, I'd appriciate an answer.

Afaik you would have to jailbreak it to skip itunes manage requirement. Not 100% sure though.

Yeah Jailbreak it, but it will loose its official apple warranty.

Depends on whether or not it's an ipod touch or one of the old ipods
