shaman healing

After trawling the shaman and healing forums last night. It seems that most if not all of the people who posted ther have come to the same conclusion as I have
Shaman healing is under powered and utter shite and sorry for the blunt

use of words
But for anyone who has healed on a shaman would understand
And tbh its getting harder and harder for me to continue playing this character this isn't to say iwont continue player
I will continue to give my best in raids but currently I've been very unhappy with my performance due to the restraints of the character
I really think blizzard have got it wrong this time
Although I do like the bring the man not the class I think blizzard should atleast make it a level playing field so each class can achieve the same healing for mana used currently this isn't the case
Many other shaman healers feel the same as I do we just don't have an identity anymore
A large part of our healing is passive and when direct healing is required it can only be used for a short amount of time and our new heal healing rain
is at best fire and forget
Now I just feel like a passenger on a run away train unable to have an influence on what's going on
It seems what I said pre cata a shaman has just become a passive healer waiting for the few times in a raid when someone needs a few quick heals
Kinda ironic when my son can turn to me and say dad that's shite that made me think is it me or the class well I know its not me
Now I just have to wait for bliizzard to give me the proper tools to do a proper healing job efore the class is only needed for mana tide totem

Re: shaman healing

Yeah many constructive shaman healer complaints, same goes for druids. Paladins and Holy priests excel at the moment though they'll get nerfed next patch, albeit only slightly.

Hope things turn out better in the future for you, that's all I can say.

Re: shaman healing

Any class volunteer for being the new OOC resser? Paladins have had their turn so it's either Shaman, Druid or Priest smile (since we're on the subject of passive gaming)

Re: shaman healing

If it makes you feel any better, there are other speccs that are in the same situation. Several classes/speccs are being benched because they just dont cut it anymore, regardless of the player.

Hell i dont even know how our guild can bring 2 ret paladins into a raid tongue

Re: shaman healing

Are shamans really that bad? I've had somy fun on my lvl71 healer alt, but if it's crap at 85 then I'm reconsidering leveling.

Re: shaman healing

Ok cool, cause it seems more than fine at 71 so I was wondering why it would take such a turn for the worse

Re: shaman healing

They aren't that strong on single target healing as I would like them to be and they miss CD's that other healers have.. it will change though.
As a PvP healer they are lots of fun and really awesome as Apoc writes. But I think as a warr against a healer they are actually one of the easier ones. Disc priests are so annoying with all those shields.
