To avoid doubts, by pre-potting I mean using a potion right before the combat starts.
We hunters get a unique chance of taking this one step further. We can not only pre-pot, but also pre-Call of the Wild. This requires 2 ferocity pets. You summon one, use CotW at some 6 seconds before the pull, dismiss it, summon a different ferocity pet, pre-pot, combat starts, the new ferocity pet has CotW ready, we chain it with the pre-pull one.
Voila. That's a dps increase not to be sneezed at.
