So i just killed Kulle in act 2 nightmare mode. Since the start of nightmare mode, i've gotten ZERO rare items from purple colored mobs, be it a end boss or a middle boss or some random mob having a purple color on its name. I've received plenty of rares from normal mobs, blue mobs and yellow mobs, but none from purple guys.
Anyone else getting this? I first figured it was really bad luck, but now after 10-15 purple mobs or so, with 0 rares or legendarys, it begins to feel like a bug more or less.

same here, butcher, magdha etc all dropped blue only loot on nightmare

At lvl 60 you re getting 5x stacking 30 minutes buff - that increase chance of magical items drop.
You get 1 stack for every rare/epic mob pack. And you loose it in case of any talents change.
Yesterday with 5 stack - Diablo at hell level dropped 3 rares and 1 legendary for me + plenty blue items. All crap though.
And i see rares more and more often since second part of hell mode/inferno.

Nephalem Valor is one of the major new systems in Diablo III and it kicks in at level 60.
(beta)Here’s how it currently works internally: Rare and Champion packs already have great loot on them.
By killing a Rare or Champion pack, not only do you get their loot, but you’ll also receive a buff(stack to 5 inc by 15%) granting you increased magic find and gold find.
However, if you change a skill, skill rune, passive, or leave the game, the buff disappears
As an extra reward, if you kill a boss while this buff is active, you’ll receive extra loot drops from that boss

wat? near perfect? the uniques were almost as terrible. I only really have 2 problems, blues seem a bit to powerful and set boni are not good enough. I don't have a problem with rares being the best items, it was like that in D2 as well.
also people keep whining about customization, but they still want to be running around with the same gear, does not make sense...

Well, atleast rares were interesting, and set items were awesome in D2.
Have you seen the abysmal setbonuses in D3? In D2 they were OP as hell, and that's fun. You play Diablo to be as OP as possible. I have a feeling they are trying to balance this game around PvP again, which is a total mistake imo.

You can get set items for lvl 60 that only drop, as well as plans for lowlevel sets that you can teach to your blacksmith, then you can craft them for your new characters for EZmoad levelling.
