Nijuuichi BrM/WW monk - accepted

PERSONAL INFORMATION

Age: 21
Gender: Male
Country: Norway
Occupation: Student
How good is your English: I'm not fluent, but I'm quite good.
Anything else about you, the person, we might be interested in: I'm not really sure if it's relevant, but I'm quite fond of reading, playing videogames and watching anime, thus I spend a lot of my free time in front of the computer.

CHARACTER INFORMATION

Nickame: Nijuuichi
Armory Link: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/r … i/advanced
Mainspec: Brewmaster
Offspec: Windwalker
Professions: Leatherworking/Inscription 600

Regardless of its quality (ilvl), is you gear fully taken care of? Safe for some specific cases (eg. an item about to be replaced next week), we expect everything to be gemmed, enchanted and reforged optimally. We will likely consult your profile with Mr. Robot. If you're doing something different than it indicates, please explain the reasoning.
My gear is fully gemmed and enchanted, also 2/2 upgraded aside from a piece of my gear that I hope to replace next week. From my armory you can see that I've opted to go for a crit build as the value of haste have dropped for me due to the set bonuses from brewmaster T15. The expertise hard cap isn't really needed, but it gives me more damage and I personally hate seeing my special abilities getting parried.

Do you get enough valor on a weekly basis to upgrade your gear as much as possible?
Yes, I've managed to cap my valor each week and I will continue to make an effort to do so.
What do you consider the most significant pros and cons of your class/spec in the current state of affairs:
A big pluss for the brewmaster monk is the monk talent tree, throw us into a fight and we have the tools to deal with it. There's also no denying that the brewmaster monks score's high when it comes to damage output and mobility. A negative side of the brewmaster is our health and armor, it's low plain and simple, which can cause some issues. When shit hits the fan a brewmaster can in the worst case scenario be "globaled". We lack some raid utility as shields through black ox statue and avert harm is the what we have available right now, Zen meditation can be used as a minor raid cooldown, but most brewmasters opt to use it as a powerful surivability cooldown.

Tell us about your alts (armory links included), how good are you with them:
I have 5 lvl 90 alts.

Iellwen lvl 90 Warrior: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/r … n/advanced  My skill as a protection warrior is good enough for some heroic Throne of Thunder.
Ridania lvl 90 Warlock: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/r … a/advanced I have some skill and experience with all three warlock speccs however I'm not sure if my skills are up to heroic standards.
Ceita lvl 90 Death Knight: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/r … a/advanced I some raid finder gear, I can't really make an assesment of my skill as I don't spend enough time on this toon.
Rìdania lvl 90 Druid: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/r … a/advanced  Awful gear, current skill of feral is no better.
Cieta lvl 90 Paladin: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/r … a/advanced Just recently leveled this character to 90, awful gear and skill at this point.

Raiding Experience (be thourough here, the more information you give us, the better; both pre-MoP and present progress is interesting for us; tell us about previous guilds):
-Vanilla: None
-TBC: Karazan 11/11, Gruul’s Lair 2/2, Serpentshrine Cavern 3/5, Tempest Keep 3/4.
-WotLK: Naxxramas 15/15, Eye of Eternity: 1/1, The Obsidian Sanctum 2/3 drakes, Ulduar, 4/14, Trial of the Crusader 5/5, Icecrown Citadel 11/11 (heroic 10/11).
-Cataclysm: Blackwing Descent 6/6, Bastion of Twilight 4/4, Throne of the Four Winds 1/2, Firelands 7/7 (heroic 1/7). Dragon Soul 8/8 (heroic 4/8).
-Mop: Mogu'shan Vaults 6/6 (heroic 6/6), Heart of Fear 6/6 (heroic 2/6), Terrace of the Endless Springs 4/4, Throne of Thunder 12/12 (heroic 4/13).

The progression I have listed above is from current content only, any other kills I might have is from later tiers and/or expansions.

Guilds:
Late BC- Early Wotlk: Ultima Thule, the guild disbanded when Ulduar was released due to several weeks of cancelled raids since people stopped showing off to raids.
Late WotLK: Stasis, I joined Stasis during the early days of ICC and left a few months before Cata came due to RL issues.
Early Cataclysm: Aeternum, a 10 man guild made up of real life friends, differences in commitment and whining in general made our journey a short one, disbanded right before 4.1. This resulted in my longest break from WoW.
Late Cataclysm: I joined stasis once again, but Dragon Soul burned me out rather quickly and I stopped raiding when I couldn't stomach any more of it.
Early MoP: Aeternum rose from the ashes, however this was a temporary solution as we knew some of the core raiders had to join the army in december/january.

I joined Order of the White tiger in early ToT progression, this was a decent guild, but I feel that the leadership was one of the reasons that prevented it from become a good raiding guild. Allowing people who fucked up at every encounter, or doing abysmal dps to stay as raiders, the became defensive at the very mention of doing anything different and so on. I left together with a real life friend of mine when it became clear that this guild had no future as a heroic raiding guild and it went from 25 to 10 man due to other people leaving aswell.

My current guild is a 10 man norwegian guild called We Got Oîl, however some of it's member are on vacation atm and five of the other core members left to join other guilds.
What attendence should we realistically expect from you (for the sake of clarity, please note that while our Monday and Thursday raids start at 19.30, the Sunday one starts at 18.45). If you can't make it on any of our raiding days on a general basis, do not apply.
Realistically, you could expect around 85-95% attendance from me.

Any external factors affecting activity we ought to know about (some flexibility applies, but we really want players able to join all 3 raids a week):
Not at the moment, but I'm attending college and any major projects will take priority in the future.

Why are you good at playing your class (don't qoute Elitist Jerks, don't give us the stuff every semi decent guide holds; convince us you're good your own way):
From the start I have worked to improve my own playstyle as a brewmaster monk. I use tools and sites like, simcraft, world of logs, discussion about my class on different forums to get a good grasp of what my class and specc can handle and how they handle it at any given time. I learn fast and have gotten a long way from when i first started to tank as a brewmaster.

When approaching new content, a fight that both you and the raid will try for the first time, how do you prepare (be precise here, "I read tactics on internet" doesn't cut it; we seen our share of players who" knew tactics for all bosses" and then failed miserably in terms of actual preparations):
I read written tactics, usually from icy veins about a fight, watch guides on the spesific fight and I watch kill videos from a relevent PoV if I can find it.

GUILD RELATED

Why are you applying to The Enigma Order, what made you choose us, when and where did you first hear about us:
I want to join a stable raiding environment that also have it sights set on high end content. I was looking through guilds on ravencrest at wowprogress and The Enigma Order piqued my interest.

What do you expect from us, as a guild:
I expect a guild that take the raiding aspect of the game seriously that also have a nice social feel to it outside of raids.

Please confirm that you have read and understood our rules and they are ok for you (yes, this is our way to ensure we're not asked somewhat silly questions that are already answered in writing at the Rules section of the forum):
I have

When unsure about any aspect of the game, be that tactics, class specific assignments, how do you proceed:
I watch any videos to see what other players might have done to overcome a spesific problem. Forums can be a great help when you look for solutions, guides can be worthile to check, but more often then not there just a general guide on how to play the class at  a basic level.

Why do you play WoW, what are your objectives, why commit more than 10 hours a week to a computer game:
I play wow because it's fun, some of the reason of why it's fun is because that I actually can play this game, that itself is a reason enough to commit more then 10 hours a week to a computer game. The better I am at the game, the more I find it enjoyable.

Is there anything else you would like to include that may assist your application.
I am the type of player that likes to progress, the feeling when you down a boss after much trial and error is exhilarating, I am quite wipe resistant and I look at loot as an added bonus that comes with time.

This should provide you with the information you desire: http://www.wowhead.com/user=Niban#lists

However I can log out in my dps gear and specc incase that lists also updates itself. My stats and gems are in place for my Brewmaster specc since I use several pieces of my gear for both speccs atm.
