CHARACTER INFORMATION
Nickname: Eowain / Eow
Armoury link: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/r … n/advanced
Mainspec: Beast Mastery
Offspec: Survival (if ever Marksmanship becomes strong for pve again I can play that with no issues as well)
Professions: 600 Leatherworking/Engineering for enchants and raid utility
Regardless of its quality (ilvl), is you gear fully taken care of? Safe for some specific cases (eg. an item about to be replaced next week), we expect everything to be gemmed, enchanted and reforged optimally. We will likely consult your profile with Mr. Robot. If you're doing something different than it indicates (which is often the right things to do), please explain the reasoning.
Of course fully reforged, gemmed and enchanted. Going haste over crit with my current gear, following the advice of Icy Veins and similar guides/forums, which I like to read up on.
What do you consider the most significant pros and cons of your class/spec in the current state of affairs:
Cons: hunters lack any greater raid CDs or utility and from a personal perspective, I think the specs are too similar in playstyle (and don't get me started on the uselessness of our aspects ). BM can have issues with pet management, LoS and out-of-range targets, which can be a true pain on some fights.
Pros: Insanely strong burst in BM, very strong AoE in both BM/SV (slightly more so in SV because of improved serpent sting). Hunters have always been strong overall and this expansion is no different. As pure dps class they'll never frequent the bottom if played right. With pets the group will never miss a buff with a hunter present and I have every available buff in my stable.
Tell us about your alts (armory links included), how good are you with them: I haven't gone to the trouble of gearing/playing any of my alts much since Mists was released, focusing solely on my hunter. In the past I did some raiding on the druid and DK in FL and DS, abit of MsV.

YOUR PERFORMANCE
Please provide a WoL log presenting your awesomeness. In absence of logs, post screenshots of recount/skada from an encounter of the current tier.
Without this, you will most likely be rejected.
I've had some issues lately getting the WoL client to work, but most recent are from two of last week's raids with my old guild:

What's your best result in Prooving Grounds? This is especially valuable in case you cannot provide WoL log.
I'm sorry to say I have yet to try the proving grounds.
Which pve addons do you use? Recount, DBM, JSHB (hunter version of TMW)

Raiding Experience (we're mostly interested in your achievements in the current expansion, but do impress us with previous experience if you feel it helps):
Mists: 13/14 normal SoO so far - 7/13 Hc ToT - 6/6 Hc MsV and 4/6 Hc HoF (and 16/16 normal ofc). The four hcs in HoF came after the ToT patch, the others were pre-nerf.
Started playing Wow at the beginning of Cataclysm and didn't get into proper raiding until halfway through the FL patch. Managed to get 8/8 Hc DS, killing Spine Hc and Madness at the 20% nerf. Our guild has always been semi-casual, prioritising fun over progress, but now I'm searching for a more hardcore environment.
What attendence should we realistically expect from you (for the sake of clarity, please note that while our Monday and Thursday raids start at 19.30, the Sunday one starts at 18.45). If you can't make it on any of our raiding days on a general basis, do not apply. I study at university and work freelance from my own home with own work hours, so I can attend every raid.
Any external factors affecting activity we ought to know about (some flexibility applies, but we really want players able to join all 3 raids a week): Nope.
GUILD RELATED
Why are you applying to The Enigma Order, what made you choose us, when and where did you first hear about us: You were brought to my attention by Jammerwamz, my old guildy and raid member, who just joined you tonight. We had a thought about finding a new guild together if it happened to work for both of us. Previously I've checked you out on wowprogress (ever since I saw Smalle smashing it in Brawler's and got curious about your guild ). Your progress and atmosphere is more professional than what I've done so far, which is exactly what I'm looking for.
What do you expect from us, as a guild: I want to clear SoO Hc before the next patch/exp, which hasn't been a possibility for me before due to the casual nature of my previous guild. A friendly, but serious and focused, environment.
Please confirm that you have read and understood our rules and they are ok for you (yes, this is our way to ensure we're not asked somewhat silly questions that are already answered in writing at the Rules section of the forum): Yessir.
Is there anything else you would like to include that may assist your application?
For the last 2 years I've been the GM of my guild, Basement Survivors, and also done most of the raid leading. Managing a raiding guild (even if it is semi-casual) has taught me many things about the game and raiding (and about people ). I've learned to recognise what constitutes a truly skilled raider and do my best to live up to those ideals in my own performance. Other than obviously knowing one's class 100% and keeping track of forums and updates, I endeavour to never make the same mistake twice / keep my focus throughout an entire raid, despite the possibility of wipe after wipe / plan beforehand how best to maximise my dps and performance for every specific encounter. Being a raid leader also requires you to have a clear understanding of the mechanics of bosses and keeping an eye on the other members of the team to make sure they're doing their jobs right - which all works to improve my own raid awareness.
HARDWARE
Please post Speed Test results. Run it from your place to Frankfurt, Germany. http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3066471921
Give us a brief specification of your computer - enough to assure it can handle 25 man raids.
I sincerely do not know enough about computers to answer this question properly lol. Sorry I may spend a lot of time on a pc, but whenever something isn't working I'm lost and need help, flicking my hair in the direction of the nearest computer whiz. I handle LFRs fairly well, which is the only 25man I've ever tried.
Do you have a working microphone and are you able to connect to TS3 servers?
Yes.
Should you be accepted, you will be asked to provide your cellphone number to the leading team. This is for the sake of on-going coordination, your number will not be made public nor used for anything not related to the game. Is this ok?
Yes.
Thank you for reading
Looking forward to hearing from you.

It turned out that the computer wasn't able to cope with 25 man raids after all, thus the application was cancelled.
