long time ago someone posted or linked and article where some guy did some reasearch to show how thottbot , allakhazam and some other portals were part of growing black market for gold, dupes etc. He described who owned those sites , what was the history etc.
If anyone remembers it ( or is the one who posted it ) let me know. I tried to search it here and on wow forums but with no luck
