But two days ago his Will dropped for me (already sold for 1400 g, hehe): http://www.wowhead.com/?item=31340 , and I cant help but wonder: Who is this Edward the Odd? Is he some kind of a lore guy? Is he even in game? Anyone knows it?

prolly a relative to some blizzard top chief or an important person that helped creating WoW
Offline
Maybe related to Tim Burton's "Edward Scissorhands" ?

so he is a drag queen who has friends at Blizzards since his will is a dress? the mace is really a huge dildo which is why people think of him as odd . Still i think he is related to the british royalties . they are a bit odd too .

Who is Edward the Odd? Lets start...
The Robe
The robe tells us that Edward is a caster. He has spells, probably expenisve, therefore the high intellect. After this we can list pretty much any class with a manabar except hunters. Now lets go deeper. The robe has high crit, wich should exclude certain builds like shadowpriest and retripala. At this point, we're left with the three caster classes, and the tree hybridclasses. All would benefit from a robe with intellect and crit.
The fact that the robe is made from cloth should be of no concern yet, seing as Edward was in fact "Odd" and even if he was a paladin or a shaman, he could still pull it off, blaming on his otherwise strange behaviour.
There is also an important aspect of the robe - its very pretty. Its cream white with royal blue in it. Not at all the colors of a warlock, who would prefer hellish red or void black. And probably wrong for a druid too, who would decorate himself in earthen colors like brown, yellow and green. The colors also match the name, wich I will tell more about soon.
The design and the stats of the robe insinuates a priest, mage or a holy paladin. The shaman would probably not prefer the colors, but he would certanly like the stats. Lets put this in the "Odd-bag" and hold on the the shaman as well.
The Mace
Seing as the weapon of Edwards choice was a one handed mace, this leave us to the conclusion that he was in fact not a mage (or a "happy" warlock). The first look tells us that HEY this is a paladin or a shaman weapon, since they both are (or at least can be) melee based casterclasses. A paladin will benefit from the instant heals (and mounts), while the shaman would probably use the instant cast to dish out some nature damaging spells. But seing as Edward is "the Odd", it can also lead us to the belief that he was a priest who would not stand back in the fight, but apporach the enemies to hit them with his mace.
After this, I would say the candidates are:
Shamans, paladins and priests.
The Name
The name "Edward" is used by the english royal family, wich leads us to believe the items were used by a regal persona. This belief is supported by the decorated robe and the scepter looking mace. Can we exclude the shaman here, since the old british kings were closely tied up to the christian religion, while shamanism has always been related to the natural religions? My guess is that he was not a shaman.
Why "...the Odd" then? Maybe Edward was playing just a bit for the other team? A claim that can easely be justified by the fact that the robe is... "delicate" to say it with a nice word. Or just GAY. The homosexuality of Edward is not confirmed, but its obviously a possibility, and now we can really start to narrow it down...
Edward the Odd was a priest or a paladin, and probably homosexual.
Race
Dwarves and draenei can both be priests and paladins, but its hard to picture either of them as "happy", therefore we are left with either Night Elf priest, Human priest or paladin or the most interresting choice; Blood Elf priest or paladin.
I will leave this resonement open for now, and let the discussion continue with the question:
Was Edward a gay blood elf paladin or was he simply a normal human priest who liked the occasional melee encounter?

Yup, Furor is the retard who was the GL for that leading guild, playing a warrior, whining about retarded EQ paladins being way too overpowered. And now he's a lead class designer in WoW, go figure
Only shows blizzard listen to whines really.

It's amazing that the chest sells for that much. Is it really the cream of the crop?
I was really surprised that someone made a buyout. It's good for PvE, but not THAT good and lacks stamina. If someone just stacks +dmg, then he should buy Imbued Netherweave Tunic for 10g on AH.

Incorrect, that's Kalgan... Furor was the quest designer for WoW and is a member of Fires of Heaven which is also a WoW guild.
Kalgan, aka Tom Chilton, is the lead game designer, specifically over game systems, character classes, combat, game balance, etc.

Tigole, aka Jeff Kaplan, is the lead dungeon and item designer but he is at the same level as Kalgan "rank wise" so to speak.
