and so does the druid love.
Druids
* The rage normalization equation has been adjusted to grant more rage. The typical player should see an increase of 15% to 20% in their rage generation.
* When the duration of "Cyclone" ends, area buffs such as "Leader of the Pack", "Tree of Life", and "Moonkin" will now be correctly resumed.
* "Feral Charge" now removes all snaring effects.
* "Bear Form" now grants 25% increased stamina instead of 25% increased health.
* "Dire Bear Form" now grants 25% increased stamina instead of 25% increased health. In addition, the armor bonus has been reduced from 450% to 400%.
* The multiplier on base weapon damage for "Mangle (Bear)" ability has been changed from 130% to 100%. In addition, the bonus damage has been reduced by the same ratio.
* "Savage Fury" no longer affects "Mangle (Bear)".
* "Savage Fury" no longer applies to "Maul" or "Swipe".
* The critical damage bonus on "Predatory Instincts" reduced from 3/6/9/12/15% to 2/4/6/8/10%.
* "Improved Leader of the Pack" can no longer get critical heals.
* The armor bonus from "Moonkin Form" has been increased from 360% to 400% (to match Dire Bear Form).

Oh well, that was expected. No more imba mangle crits and imba armor. Atleast feral charge got buffed, very nice for pvp now.
Though, i'm moonkin so i'm happy for the armor buff.

they may steal our beloved imba feral dps, but hey, imba oomkin dps is still there

That aint making it into the patch though, because blizz didn't get the mechanics for it finished, just like with the warrior version on charge/intercept/intervene. It will be added in a later patch though.

That once again shows that blizzard has no spine... cant take the pressure of whining warriors

If that was true warriors would have been buffed a LONG time ago

Haha true
Tbh the biggest nerf is with swipe, no more easy way to get agro on big packs. First they removed the extra threat from swipe and now the extra damage you got from talents.
But lets see how it goes, i just fear that some will be less likely to let druids tank

Hehe
"* The bonus to "Swipe" from the "Idol of Brutality" has been reduced from 50 to 10. "
EDIT:
And "lol" at the people on the forums threatening that they'll quit/reroll/whatever due to these changes. Hopefully, druid will no longer be the flavor-of-the-month after this

i doubt it. resto sux at lvl 70.
Ill spec for pure cat without armor talents, or a mixture of feral / balance i think.
Just sad that i've chosen the tanking ring from Karazhan, but ill guess ill be using it for hmm.. filling up some bankslots

Send GM ticket that you are unhappy with the recent developments for that patch and that you don't want that ring anymore and are disappointed to have been given false hope about your tanking abilities.

This screenshot is proof that bearform was overpowered. Shows crazy Armor/HP. im 2nd on dmg meter, and if you look in the combat log 've just critted for 1800+ mangle in bearform.
But this doesnt meen that Blizzard have to nerf everything at bear. I would be fine with the fact that i wouldnt do crazy dmg. What i dont think is fine, is the fact that Blizzard nerfs everything about bearform. Agro, HP, armor, dmg done. There should be somekind of nerf, but not a destruction of the druid as tank.
Me and talmira talked about it in wispers. Not even T4 or T5 has enough armor, to be able to get the gear needed to tank after this, and there for the use of bearform, will only be minimal.
Like talmira wispered to me. I dont want to end up like before TBC, where i felt like the only thing i was there for was my innervate.
With TBC we got the chance to spec feral, and have a use of it raiding wise. We got gear that told us, that this was Blizzards thoughts as well. That they would not "force" us into a certain role.
I dont know anymore.. I always had a feeling that they would nerf some aspect of our bearform. Just didnt count on them to destroy it.

Some on the US forums have tested out the changes on the PTR.
You should read this post:

The main conclusion is that the nerf to armor and hp is minimal.

It's the threat generation that suffers - mainly swipe. Perhaps this is Blizz' way of telling us to use Lacerate over Swipe?

You've just been the flavour of the month druids.
Sadly your class has healing too, so you'll in the end be healers, just like the rest of the hybrids. But atleast you're in the same situation as paladins. You'll be stuck healing forever, but you do that very well, in contrast to the shaman who's also stuck healing, but don't do that quite so well.

Actually it's a very negative thing (in my eyes) to be the flavor of the month class. There'll be hordes of people powerlevelling that class because they want to be imba. Now those people are rerolling to something else because of this.
EDIT:
And, yes, I see the irony of me playing druid at the moment
I welcome these changes though.

If what you say there turns out to be true, i will be a happy little druid.
Only reason i Use swipe instead of Lacerate in Karazhan, is to hit more targets, and because the mobs are immune to Lacerate.

I seriously dont know what to think. Feral was always my first choice. when i started to play with other ppl in retail i realized/had been told feral sucked which was true. raiding with teo made me go hybrid/resto. After some changes i went back to feral , but that ment offhealing and not getting invites so often ( no good dps, no good tank , no dedicated healer) TBC gave a chance to play every role druid could play. I did enjoy tanking and going dps a lot. recently i went resto because i saw we had some problems with healers in Karaz, and it was only to help to get it going.
Now i really dont know what to do
1 Go feral , play what and how i like , enjoy that part but forget about any raiding or stay in long backup
2 Stay resto , play what im forced to play...
Not to mention any solo questing, going forms and grinding with resto build is a pain in the ass already and now they nerf forms. Id also like to ask TEO if there's place for feral druid in raid now. ( after changes). I love TEO all right, but no 1 might cause i wont be raiding because thers no palce for me, no 2 might cause i wont be raiding because i will be sick of doing something i dont really love
PS I dont really understand the idea of PTR, beta testing etc. If its only to check if hardware will take it its pointless cause it never does. Giving something and taking it back is bullshit. People made decisions based on that, chosen rewards noone will exchange for them, chosen fractions to build rep with ...
PS2 I knew some changes were needed but not like that

Feral sucked in retail because the druid class where added very late. That meent that there was no items tailored for druids, and beeing feral ment that we would have to go for rogue loot, wich didnt really optimized what the feral druid could do.
With the introduction of AQ, we suddenly saw the first real druid weapon (mace of unending life) and i think if druids were added abit earlier in retail, we would have seen the same type of gear there (just with retail stats ofc) as we do here in TBC.
I too started my druid because i loved the class description of fighting in animal forms, and beeing able to heal. i Did not know much about Mmorpgs when i started, even less about WoW, and some of that is why i choose the druid as a class. I didnt choose healer or backup healer. I choose a class who had versality in their playstyle, based on the animal forms i would fight in.
