Tanking gear

I'm putting together a tanking set, and I wanted to plan out what to get from which non-raiding instances. However, some of the items you get from simple quests seem very strong so...

...have you found any suitable upgrades for these items yet?

Ash Tempered Legguards
Verdant Gloves
Manimal's Cinch
Supple Leather Boots
Umberhowl's Collar

I'm having problems seeing how these can even be upgraded through instance drops. Is there something I'm not seeing?

Re: Tanking gear

The thing is, the insane armor on these items is so easily overlooked because they are greens :S

I almost didn't take the "Supple Leather Boots" because I didn't notice the armor, at first. Apparently, they are the strongest in the game atm.

True.. when i look through the list you posted, i can only say i have done some stupid things too.
Ash Tempered Legguards = sold to vendor, because those i had, had better stats.. didnt even consider looking at the armor
Verdant Gloves = im at the terrace part of that quest
Manimal's Cinch = same as above.. looked on stats instead of armor sadsad
Supple Leather Boots = discovered the armor before i sold them.. has to check with Namino if it was a bug or something yikes i use them instead of Hive tunnelers boots
Umberhowl's Collar = i took  Felboar Hide Shoes instead.. it was the first leather in the list, and i just thought that the rest would be mail, plate and cloth... now im stuck with some ok bracers, but id rather have those

Re: Tanking gear

+15 agility would be the best glove enchant for tanking druids.

Re: Tanking gear

Any recommended tanking helm out there from crafting / quest reward rather than some 0.00003% epic drop from a heroic end boss that i'll never see ?

It's very difficult to find substitutes for those two pieces sad

Druid-wiki recommends pvp items such as General's Leather Belt and General's Leather Bracers, but those take ages to grind. Perhaps the next patch will change some of the items in Karazhan so that there are some suitable replacements there.

Re: Tanking gear

yea, i had thought about the PvP pieces, but its a pain grinding for those with the alliance in our battlegroup, not to mention the boredom i get, when im PvPing.. im just not a pvp person.

but maybe i'll get lucky and get some new items in the next patch, or i've heard something about pvp prizes are going down, it might be alot easier to get accesss to those things.
