Just great
That would be like frostnova and sheep on same DR

It seems that it was just a troll post on the forums.
However, I think it would be a general druid buff if they nerfed roots + cyclone with shared DR. It would bring resto and balance druids down to feral level in arena, and the class would need a general pvp buff then.

Druids, need a pvp buff ? Comon, I think the rest of the world would disagree ;P Would you disagree if I say that druids is one of the best healers/support to bring into an arena team ?
And sorry, all other classes have: "This spec sucks for arena, sorry". Examples:
Warriors, sorry, MS is the only viable spec.
Mage's, sorry, frost is the only viable spec.
Paladins, sorry, holy/prot is the only viable spec.
Warlocks, ok this one I fail on ;P
Priests, Sahdow, altho disc priests will work, but full holy wont.
Shamans, I think resto is what they are.
Hunters, well, these guys arent playing arena yet(waiting for 2.3 I guess).
I dont belive druids should be different here.

actually you fail on rogues, warlocks and shamans , altho most warlocks are SS/SS, most rogues are combat, and most shammys are resto.
but I think many clases should change a lil so that more speccs are viable in arena, including druids

Don't you think this is a problem? And I'm not referring to druids, in particular.

Not really because most classes have atleast 3 or 4 specs to choose from if they want to be any good in general since own customized specs are generally not as good as "premade" specs that the majority of people uses, by the meaning "this spec sucks for arena, sorry" it doesn't mean that the spec in general sucks, it means there's just a spec generalised for best usage in arenas to disable a handicap against most combinations.
If you know what I mean.

Well, the fact that Blizzard has introduced arena sets that matches specific talent builds leads me to believe that they want that particular spec to be viable for arena.
There is only one warrior arena set, and that is made for dps. This is Blizzard's way of saying that tank spec is not meant for arena.
There is a healer and caster dps set for priests. This is Blizzard's way of saying that priests may choose to do dps or heal in arena.
There is a resto, balance and feral arena set for druids. This must be Blizzard's way of saying that all three specs should be viable in arena. However, only one of them is.
How do you explain this?
If feral was meant to be for pve and not arena, then surely it should have gotten the same treatment as prot warriors - that is, no arena set should exist.

actually, oomkin is not bad in 5v5, so druids sort of got 2 good speccs

Isn't it resto for 2v2 and 3v3, and balance for 5v5? My experience with resto in 5v5 is lacking, but from what I've been told they go down very fast.

Resto druids are fine, they can barely die, balance druids are fine, they deal imba damage, feral druids are fine, they autoattack people to death!
Nuff said

If you say so, you've played druid longer than me. But it's kinda BS... specs are dependant of what combination you have against you and should be played by choice, not by force. If you play the spec you like you'll grow more experienced with it. And druids don't just have 2 specs good for arenas, they heal fine, they cast fine and deal pretty nice dps in feral aswell... they most certainly annoy the crap out of me when I'm in an arena on my mage and of all classes, I think it's the hardest class to beat 1 on 1 because it's near impossible to lock them in frostnova or polymorph. They allmost allways get the first move on me. In general, yeah druids are kind of imba in feral but I can imagine for arenas they're less wanted for some reason. But if you buff druids just so they can go feral in arenas more that would in my oppinion be a bit selfish and would be the same as buffing pyroblast crit damage so they can 1 shot people again in arenas, the only people they 1 hit in arenas are PvE geared people with less than 8k hp...

Take a look at these arena statistics, Baloth:
http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/threa … &sid=1
(the statistics are based on the top20 teams of each battlegroup in 2v2, 3v3, and 5v5)
The short version:
5v5:
4% of the players are druids (Balance: 3, Feral: 5, Restoration: 26)
3v3:
17% of the players are druids (Balance: 1, Feral: 4, Restoration: 51)
2v2:
26% of the players are druids (Balance: 0, Feral: 0, Restoration: 60)
Feral druids are quite difficult to beat in 1v1, but I think you've based your opinion about feral druids in arena on this fact. The statistics tell a different story though.

Point taken, very much.

the problem with feral druids is that they are pretty much like a rogue without the interrupts and stuns in cat form, of course they can shadwshift out and use cyclone, but it takes a lot of time, and if you do it many times you run oom. they got bearform that takes very little damage, but you dont really deal any damage either, so you are easily outhealed, so you would pick a warrior over a druid any day if you would consider using bear form.
then you would prolly say shift between cat and bear, but still warriors are superior, they deal damage like when you are in cat form, and take damage like when you are in bear form. In addition, warriors got mortal strike, reducing the amount of healing the target receives by 50%.
