To Windir

meh, you almost made me tad worried there, with the late sign up - I admit for a split second I thought we would get below our avarage of four hunters per raid:D

Re: To Windir

Why not still though? It's not like we've an excess of hunters at least, and from what I've seen from Sarcon in Kara and so on he's a good player, active and a pretty nice fellow.

Re: To Windir

Why should we have an "overload" of a certain class then? And looking upon the past weeks sign up lists we've had 3-4 hunters signing up for every 25-man raid.

PS: Nothing personal against anyone but that's just my view overall smile

stop complaining tongue this has always been the case for druids in TEO ^^
Atleast we have had a time, where it was hard getting just 1 hunter tongue

Well, same thing goes with us warlocks, but we are apparently recruiting more of them anyway tongue

Re: To Windir

tell you the truth, Sarcon's application - being kept up to date, relfecting the fact that he really seems to want in - been bothering me for a while now.
on one hand there's an active, nice and skilled (as I hear and agree myself) player, who's being kept hanging on for quite a while now.
on the other hand he happens to be a representative of a class which has been among the most active ones lately, since it is a fact that we had 4 hunters in vast majority of the last raids. and that is while raiding instances where most of the guides suggest taking less than that.
so, the way I see this - if we don't invite Sarcon, some other guild might just take an advantage of that and get a decent player. If we do invite him, we'll either have 5 hunters in some raids (and seriously - how many of you can live with that?smile, or a hunter-packed back up list.

bottomline (not really something to be discessed at hunters' forum) - time for a decision of some sort, that will impact all classes, thus whole guild - are we ok with longer back up lists and bit more time required to learn each new event (since more players attending raids will need to learn stuff, advantage being the fact that the raids actually do happen (aka less canceled raids, if any), or are we only on a lookout for them pesky resto durids and shamans while rest stays unchanged?

this is bit of a sensitive matter and I'm bit uneasy posting it, but a clear information on that would do more good than harm. especially since I feel that this sort of a decision has already been made.

Awww poor lil' emo *pad pad*

Well as for the subject.
I totally understand that hunters are rejective as to getting more in. Any class wouldn't want more than they need to be sure themselves to get into the raid everytime and that's understandable. And indeed there's plenty of hunters it seems. Or that is. There's enough for SSC and TK, which is the only 2 dungeons I have seen plenty of hunters signing for. Gruul's and kara doesn't seem to be high on the list for them anymore. Which I ofc. like since that make it possible for me to actually get on those raids eventhough I'm in TED.
I don't wanna cause a commotion, but natutally I would be glad to actually get in. And personally I prefer waiting on a backup list for a raid, than the raid not making it at all.

And IF officers decides to get extra people (also in other classes), then there always is the option of making a backup-list rule, granting like 50% dkp to all on the backup list that doesn't get into the raid, for what is cleared for that night of the raid. Ofc. backup people has to be ready to stand in for the raid then ^^ probably other good options.

But just my 2 cent smile

Re: To Windir

I wouldnt mind getting another hunter into the guild.
You are a nice person and a good player, and you already participate in alot of stuff on these forums, wich is a part of our community/raiding guild.

My concern when i eg. say no to feral druids that is applying to the guild, is that they wouldnt have a chance of getting into the raids, since we already have so many active feral druids in the guild.

But i get the feeling that the other hunters wants you as well, so for me, there wouldnt be a problem giving you an invite.
However its Ihsahns decision in the end, and with this i either make him look really bad, or as your new best friend ^^ tongue

Re: To Windir

actually, another question on my end - Ihsahn's or Elris's?

and, to make this matter even more hot - seems like we suddenly became 6 raiding hunters again (Elris, Ihsahn, Theredon, Zevski, Tanis, me), as Tanis has signed up:D

taugh one for the one who'll be deciding, could possibly try to share our views on this when mot of us are online (few minutes before today's raid for example).
