I had conversation with Golrock on saturday considering about slam as dps tool in PvE instances. Golrock claims heroic strike would be better than slam, but i have read lot about slam being great dps tool for arms warrior, used together with mortal strike. So you, who play lot warriors, what's the actual truth?

you can time them, to hit right after each other, so i guess its a matter of rage

heroic gives threat because it is making dmg,but not much and enough to gain you aggro

atleast untalented i see no room for slam in a dps cycle, unless you somehow get a sick amount of rage. and yes heroic strike does alot of aggro, so in a dps situation i'd use cleave as the rage dump. imp slam is a bit far into the fury tree and i dont think i'm speccing for it any time soon so i cant test it.

Cleave has ~30 less innate threat than heroic strike so cleave is about as useless on single targets, slam is a good 200 innate threat below heroic strike and if you go imp slam, which you should for a 2hand pve dps build, it'll be far better than both cleave and heroic strike. As for imp slam's position in the fury tree, i've yet to see a topend 2hand MS pve warr not go for it.
