do you come close to mage damage at times, do you have high crits like mages, do you have higher armor then a mage? if you can answer yes to any of those questions , i think you know the answer

Id also like to ask TEO if there's place for feral druid in raid now. ( after changes). I love TEO all right, but no 1 might cause i wont be raiding because thers no palce for me, no 2 might cause i wont be raiding because i will be sick of doing something i dont really love
There will always be a spot for you and every other druids in TEO raids, no matter of your spec. TEO is family that does intances now and then. We dont look to your specs (even if it has seemed that way lately) and we welcome feral druids to the raids as much as balance or restoration druids. If you know how to play your class (like you do Kashtan) you will be invited to the raids.
Do not worry about your specs at this moment as TEO is just starting to raid TBC instances. Go with the spec you feel the best and do your best as a hybrid class in instances. If you're a feral, dont sign up as a "tank/dps", but go as "tank/dps/healing" and you will be picked in the raids.
Its not about the spec, its about the player behind the character.

I beat mages in single target dps, i have higher crits than mages, and yes i have higher armor than mages... so i guess i'll be expecting a nerf.

I'm not so sure, even tho you might do slightly higher dps the first minutes the mage excell by far doing much more dmg when the fights get longer, since mages are much more mana efficient and have many more ways of getting mana back.(Dont count on using Innervate on yourself, healers might need em more when we talk about longer fights)
Another aspect is pvp, a oomkin druid is not very good 1on1 afaik, the druid doesnt have that many options except high AC.
So perhaps they wont get nerfed at all

I REALLY disagree with you here. In duels... maybe, in BG's, hell no. Before TBC I could easily 2 hit people and I did not have that impressive gear. If your starfire crits, all it took was a moonfire for me to get my target down. Add to that the ability to shadowmeld and you are very, very impressive at 1v1.
I don't really know how it is at 70 though since Im still 67, but I can only imagine that with Cyclone it only got easier 1v1.

But that is mostly just two-shotting at your advantage.
Compare that to:
Polymorph, Iceblock, Frostnova, Counterspell, Blink, PoM, Slowing effects, and more?
Mages just have so many more options to turn a fight around in a 1v1 fight that does not necessarily begin at their advantage.

At 70 people have so much HP that two shotting doesnt happen, not in BG's ether. Wich is good, I can only speak for mage's, but one of our old mages said after some arenas in the very beginning of Project Enigma: "Damn I did some mistakes, I tryed to nuke the old way(wich means nuke down in 2-3 blows)". The new HP values allows for longer fights wich is nice

Yes, thats true that mages are much more mana efficent in long fights, thats what they are made for. And i agree that moonkins arent that good in pvp, we have little ways to interrupt or counter heals and casts but we have heals ourselfs and some nice ways for crowd control. I think moonkin druid is on his best at support class with the aura and off healing in pve. And tbh, we wont get nerfed since our imbaness isnt towards players but it gets full out on pve raiding and partying. There is no one to whine about moonkins since we dont annoy anyone. The feral nerf came from alot of people saying we do too much damage and tank too good, then the nerfbat hit and it hit hard.

Hmm the nerfs to armour and health seemed a bit unnecessary since the only "problem" with the bears afaik was that their damage was excessively high.
It's fine that moonkins and cats do the same damage as rogues / mages though since their forms lack the little things that the "pure" classes have, e.g. fire/frost ward, vanish, invis, mana gems / evocation, poisons etc.

Not really if you ask me, ok they can do some dmg but not equal since we cant get out the form and heal us up

Healing isn't everything
What about the ability to incapacitate the opponent and then be able to bandage without interruption? Or vanishing and simply getting away if the fight takes a nasty turn? Or being able to kick those heals that the opponent is trying to cast?
Admittedly I am biased in this, but there are many rogue skills that make up for the fact that they lack healing so I don't think it is entirely fair to simply say "you have healing, so you are not allowed to do as much damage as me".

root --> heal
cyclone --> heal
buuut you don't have to heal when in bear

Very true
But look at it this way:
If rogues had the abilities to heal themselves combined with the ability to crowd control as well as they do - they would be indestructible. Druids are not
That's my opinion anyway.

Hmm... I dont have damage meters installed atm, but I'd like to compare this. Ofc I've got better gear than You (dmg-wise, +940 fire/arcane damage, around 25%), but I'm 44/17/0 specced atm and, you know, I really doubt You can outdamage a arcane blast specced mage in a short fight. My Arcane blasts crits around 2,8k with trinkets. Fully charged, it's 1,5 sec cast.
That is in a fight that would last around, lets say, 2 minutes. If it lasts more than 3 minutes, there's no point comparing imo, cos invis + evo + mana gems > all.
So - in heroic instances, when we all drink up after each pack, when we have time to regen, and we both go all out on each pack, You'll have imba fun and maybe it's true that you can keep up with mages, but then, the conditions are a little bit artificial.
BTW whats your highest crit?
Offline
I know that back in the days when I was running MC runs as balance specced I could keep up with the mages on trashmobs, but only when there would be opportunity to drink
Offline
Yeah, that is true that mages are way more mana efficent like i said earlier and i cant out damage you when you have 25% more +damage. I think we can just all agree that mages > oomkins in overall dps. Thats what you guys are made for.
My Starfire crits up to 3800 (3 second cast) and Wrath crits up to 2300 (1.5 sec cast) and when affected by natures grace its 0.5 second less cast time.
Anyway, this thread went way off topic about damage bragging and "my class > your class". Lets keep on QQing the druid nerfs now.
